The Marine's bar is light and breezy, and its handy location to Sumner Beach makes it a big attraction for the locals and visitors alike. Regular Live music, Pool Competitions, and $4.80 pints on Friday are just some of the regular entertainment not to be missed.
The Marine Backpackers offers 40 beds in total, including four-person bunkrooms, double ensuite, double, twin, single and single ensuite rooms. We also have interconnecting rooms which are ideal for families. There are also facilities for disabled guests. A highlight at The Marine Bar is the unique garden area behind the main building and below the spectacular cliff face with its fascinating geology and rock shapes left behind by an ancient volcanic Banks Peninsular lava flow. It make an ideal, sheltered space to soak up the sun and make friends.
